My dearest Malagentia, it is with a very heavy heart that I am resigning my position as Seneschal. I have been battling a disease that causes me chronic pain, and lately I have been losing the battle. My Deputy Lord Mat Wyck will step in until elections can be held. I know he will do a fantastic job. Once I can control this Dragon, I hope to be back to help. I have sent letters to kingdom Seneschal with my regrets. It has been a privilege to work with such a group of wonderful friends. Love and be kind to one another.

In response to the rapidly growing impact of COVID-19 on the global population, including yesterday’s declaration of a pandemic by the World Health Organization, the University of Maine System will begin to implement a social isolation strategy. As you may have heard, all classes will move from in-person to online beginning March 23, 2020 and all residential students will be sent home. While the offices will remain open (at this point), USM will begin to strengthen the social isolation strategy by restricting access to our fitness center and athletic complex to USM faculty, staff and students ONLY. The hours for the fitness center and building will change and are below.
Due to this unprecedented situation, we will be placing your memberships on hold effective Saturday, March 14, 2020 until this health crisis has passed or we will provide a pro-rated refund to you if that is your wish. We apologize for this inconvenience, but as you know, some things are simply out of our control and we must take appropriate precautions. We will notify you as soon as we are able to safely re-open our facilities for use and welcome people back to the Sullivan Complex. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. You can reach me directly at 207-228-8242 or by email at ().
Sincerely,
Kevin Normand, Manager of Sullivan Complex

In the wake of the spread of COVID-19, many events both locally and across the Known World are being postponed or outright cancelled. Please, if you are intending to head out to an event, confirm that it is still being held. We will try to keep our calendar as up to date as possible: https://malagentia.eastkingdom.org/main/calendar/
And above all, please follow the recommended guidance in your area, stay safe and stay healthy. We want to see you again when the modern middle ages resume.
In the interest of public health, I am pulling the plug on group craft nights, dance practices, and music practices. I plan to resume the schedule of gatherings at some point in the future; stay tuned…
