Following a significant amount of work, research and coordination, Malagentia has resumed fencing practices, which will remain outdoors for the interim.
All are invited to attend, regardless of experience levels. Non-participant assistance is also welcome, to help monitor adherence to our protocols.
When: Saturdays, 10-noon, weekly. Rain Cancels; please see calendar at https://malagentia.eastkingdom.org/main for latest info, including possible rain date.
Where: Ft. Williams, Cape Elizabeth – 1000 Shore Road. As you enter the park, drive to the right, and attempt to park in the lot up the hill on your right. Goal will be to practice up that hill, past the big picnic shelter. If occupied, we will grab another location. (there may parking fees; come prepared to pay.)
Notes: Please approach practice wearing a respiratory mask, and sign-in.
There will be no loaner gear, without prior arrangement.
Bring your own water.
Bring your own respiratory mask and back-up masks. We highly recommend trying on masks under your fencing masks so you can understand fit and potential challenges.
There may or may not be porta-potty facilities on site; there is no changing area on site.
These are the screening questions: If you answer yes to any of them, please do not come to practice. If you have questions, email fencing marshal Mat Wyck at mainewick@gmail.com:
