Individuals requesting event pre-registration refunds must contact the Event Steward and the Province Exchequer in writing, by paper or e-mail, at least one week prior to the posted event date and must include a valid mailing address.
Partial refunds for a group reservation where one or more individuals were unable to attend will be considered.
In the occurrence of an event cancellation, all pre-registration fees will be returned following current EK policy.
Requests received after this deadline will be considered on an individual basis and only in extreme or emergency circumstances, subject to approval by the Event Steward, Exchequer or Gate Coordinator and Seneschal.
Refunds will either be issued in the form of a check drawn on the Provincial checking account, or if a check written by the individual has not yet been deposited and is of the correct amount, it may instead be returned. Refund checks will be issued within 14 days of the filing of the event report. Cash refunds cannot be given. PayPal fees, if any, will not be refunded.
Following receipt of a refund request, if approved, it will be submitted by the Event Steward, Gate Coordinator or Seneschal to the Exchequer.
Malagentia will hold its annual provincial budget meeting virtually on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 7-8 p.m. All members of the province are welcome to attend. The budget must be approved by a majority of the voting officers present at the meeting. Under our guidelines, the budget will be presented at the February province meeting, and voted on at the March province meeting.
I’m here with an update on the virtual election process. Due to time constraints, there will be a minor change in the notification process and we will not be doing the USPS mailings. We will still be posting to all available online platforms, including our Facebook pages and the official website – which generates an email to those who have signed up for notifications. If you are aware of a paid member not being on any of the platforms, please be sure let them know how to cast their vote.
Voting will still be done via email to from 12:01 AM December 03 through 11:59 PM December 31. Please be sure to cast your vote, to include your proof of membership (a picture of your membership card or screenshot from the membership page, please), during this time frame. Results will be announced at the January 06, 2022, province meeting.
As a reminder, the candidates will have an opportunity to speak briefly at the Dec. 2 virtual Province Meeting this week.
